P1 & P2 activities during examination period

From parts and portion to acquiring concepts of fraction, from quarter and half to telling of time with hours and minutes. We move on from just concepts to creativity using the same manipulatives; do you like our 'Time' machine? Did you also notice the symmetry and the hour glass? It will time our speed for returning the colourful parts and portion into the bars right in front of our 'Time' machine.

Celebrating Children's Day

The school wishes all our children a Happy Children’s Day!
Little Children by Ron Zupsic

Little children are a treasure
Their worth you cannot measure
In terms of money or gold.
Their voices are the melody
That vibrates deep inside of me
Worth their weight, a thousand fold.
Their eyes so brightly shining
They are the silver lining
That brightens up my day.
I couldn’t live without them
More priceless than any gem
My loneliness they chase away…

Co-ordination from head to toe is an important part of children's development as its all connected to the brain development. Children celebrate their day with their favourite pop song 'Baby' by Justin Beiger.

Learning comes with involvement!

Learn through play: P1 children exploring the concept of 'perimeter'. It also involved spatial skills & creativity!

For school-going kids to excel in their learning, they need a lot of room for constructive play as well as physical movement to learn the many academic concepts. When adults interfere too much, or constantly provide instant 'answer', or impose many restrictions, the learning processes will not be as strong as how they explore that knowledge themselves with an appropriate followup by the adult.

Oh, please don't forget that we are also creative artists!

At the same time,we love our country!
With this opportunity, on behalf of all staff, I want to congratulate 4 of our students for their outstanding improvement in their school work and/or character development in the month of July. These students received award slips from their school teacher, one of the student said:"I am very happy because this is my 1st time getting the AWARD slip." Just to let you know parents; we are all so proud of you and your child achievements.

Learning is so interesting!

From music & movement to speech & drama, cookery to dramatic play; acquiring new knowledge is fun!

Positive mindsets make all the differences!

Enriching activities are not just conducted during holidays, we learnt from our teacher how to prioritize our daily tasks and make many interesting things happened with time constraint. We have fun learning everyday! We do not complain just because things didn't happen the way we want it to be.We solve problems through critical thinking. Reading the chinese scripts together prior to the S&D presentation is funWe witness it gelatinize as we fill the moulds. You really need to be fast with jelly! By the way, take note that jelly is spelt with 'j'elly, but gelatinize is'g'elatinize.

Percussion and cookery make a lot of senses work!

The knowledge learnt in percussion and cookery lessons are beyond our expectations. Our students were enlightened in-so-far that what they have learnt in creative writing over the past 3 weeks were all about translating their senses into words. How simple if not with the careful planning of such meaningful programmes which your child is set to discover.

Wrapping up all that we have benefitted through fun Yoga

"We look forward to have yoga everyday after this holiday workshop!"exclaimed the children..

Leadership & EQ = Success for life

How much time and energy do working parents have for such activities?
How often do your child get involved in such activities in an interesting and meaningful way?
Children and parents in our school get it all! Isn't that wonderful?
In the eyes of wise parenting, what do you think your child will have succeeded after these activities?

What better gift can we give?

We look forward to silent reading and book appreciation session everyday! We are pampered with a spectacular range of good titles at our library. Furthermore, the cozy ambience craddles us to be mesmerized by the literature, be it fiction or non-fiction.

What better gift can we as parents and teachers give this precarious earth than a generation of children who have learned to know, love and care for the natural world?

Nature helps to relax the mind, yoga helps to relax the body and mind?

The title was extracted from one of the many children who documented, in their journal, their experiences after the Yoga session. As a parent myself, as well as the instructor of the Yoga session, that immersed bliss in knowing how the children have benefitted from Yoga is beyond words can described. I'm sure your excited child must have taught you a few postures.

So much that Nature has offered us!

Children's team work allowed them to harness cooperation, friendship and problem solving skills. They were amazed by how the bannana plant can really grow! Best of all they were aware of how to appreciate the environment.
